Balance in Graphic Design

Elizabeth BehrensWhen designing, I like to see a strong sense of balance made more interesting with the careful use of visual tension. Visual tension is a good thing! It creates excitement and is attained with proper image selection, respect for the power of space, attention to the importance of text size/style/placement and of course, a cohesive color scheme. When the eye of the reader is visually stimulated and prepared for the message, a powerful advertising vehicle has been created. The stage is then set for the impact of the message from the copy writers to deliver the knockout punch.

The primary volume of work represented in the portfolio is print but that’s not all I do. Here is a simplified listing of projects that I have been responsible for: logos, tradeshow kiosks, internal and external promotional materials, packaging design, website graphics, online newletters, planning and directing photo shoots.

Throughout my career as a graphic designer, I have been fortunate to work in some great companies with many talented and skilled Marketing and Graphics professionals. So whether it is navigating corporate processes with project designs, creating a strong brand image for your company or just brainstorming ideas, I am confident that you will be satisfied and pleased with the end result.

I'm interested to hear about your next project, so please contact me so we can talk more about it.
